¿Triste o gozoso?
Los versículos de hoy son la conclusión de dos encuentros relatados en la Biblia.
En el primero un joven acudió a Jesús y le preguntó qué debía do to have eternal life. The answer is clear: if you really want to do what is necessary to acquire it, should keep the whole Mosaic law, not only 99% of the commandments of God. "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of all" (James 2:10). But this is impossible for man, been ages since I found God. This is why Jesus said, "Sell everything you have ... and come, follow me, take up the cross" (Mark 10:21). The young man could not bring himself to do this. For him their riches were more valuable than thought acquire eternal life. And it was sad ...
The second is an important dignitary of the kingdom of Ethiopia que volvía de Jerusalén, adonde había ido a adorar. Dios, quien conocía su corazón, le envió al evangelista Felipe para instruirlo. Éste le anunció a Jesús, aquel a quien el profeta Isaías describe como el que llevó nuestros pecados (Isaías 53:5). El etíope comprendió el mensaje de gracia, entendió que lo único que hay que hacer es aceptar el perdón divino, y pidió ser bautizado, como testimonio de su fe. El resultado fue inmediato: "siguió gozoso su camino".
El lector también puede tener esta experiencia. Crea en Jesucristo; él quitará la tristeza de su corazón y lo llenará de felicidad.
