"¿Dónde estás tú?" "¿Qué es lo que has hecho?", dijo Dios a Adán luego de que éste desobedeciera (Génesis 3:9, 13). La respuesta es típica de una mala conciencia: "Tuve miedo... y me escondí", porque había pecado contra Dios.
"¿De Where do you come from and where are you going? "asked God to Hagar, who fled from the presence of Sarai, her mistress (Genesis 16:8). As this young woman, a person away from God is in a desperate situation, and God know.
"Who say that I am?" asked Jesus. Peter, one of the disciples, said: "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God" (Matthew 16:15-16). In our response and estimates depend on Jesus Christ's earthly life and our eternal destiny. If we think he's just a prophet, then why choose it and listen rather than to another master of thought? But if he really is Hijo de Dios –y la Biblia así lo afirma– entonces la alternativa es simple: "El que cree en el Hijo tiene vida eterna; pero el que rehúsa creer en el Hijo no verá la vida, sino que la ira de Dios está sobre él" (Juan 3:36).
Dios nos interpela a cada uno de diferente manera. Conoce exactamente nuestra situación, y sus preguntas tienen como meta hacernos reflexionar y aceptar su luz en nuestro corazón y en nuestra vida.
"En una o en dos maneras habla Dios; pero el hombre no entiende", o no hace caso (Job 33:14).
Estemos, pues, atentos a sus preguntas, no las esquivemos.
